UMedicina

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), which is managed by the Foundation for Advanced Health Sciences Studies (FESS), was created in 2017 in order to complete the health studies that UVic-UCC has been offering for over 40 years. The FESS aims to carry out university studies and research, knowledge transfer and dissemination activities in the field of the health sciences and within the framework of UVic-UCC.

During the first two academic years, the faculty currently offers a bachelor's degree in Medicine, which is taught in the former Can Baumann building on the Vic Campus, and from the third year onwards its students have the opportunity to continue their training in one of its two territorial teaching units: in Vic and Manresa.

The bachelor's degree in Medicine is based on an innovative pedagogical model, based on clinical cases, simulation and clinical internships in a wide network of health and care centres all over Catalonia, among other aspects.
