UVic

With a campus in Vic and a facility in Granollers, UVic is a driving force for knowledge and innovation at the service of its region, and simultaneously has an international vocation. It provides higher education courses for bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, postgraduate courses, doctoral programmes, lifelong learning and vocational training programmes. It prioritises the individual's overall training and personalised care for the student, and focuses on the values of individual creativity, professional rigour and social commitment.

Its knowledge areas are biosciences, engineering, communication, business, education, sports, health and translation. In the areas of research and knowledge transfer, the University has worked in a competitive environment comparable to other universities of similar characteristics and sizes for the last 25 years.

UVic is the source of the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia, which arose from the federation with the Bages University Foundation (2014) and the subsequent additions of the Foundation for Advanced Health Sciences Studies (2016) and the Elisava Foundation (2020). UVic was recognised as the University of Vic by the Parliament of Catalonia in 1997, and its forerunners were the University Studies of Vic and an educational tradition in the city that dates back to the Middle Ages.
